چکیده
We present the discovery and characterization of HIP 33609 b, a transiting warm brown dwarf orbiting late B star, discovered by NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite TESS as TOI-588 b. b is large (R$_{b}$ = 1.580$_{-0.070}^{+0.074}$ R$_{J}$) on highly eccentric (e 0.560$_{-0.031}^{+0.029}$) orbit with 39-day period. The host star bright (V 7.3 mag), T$_{eff}$ 10,400$_{-660}^{+800}$ K mass M$_{*}$ 2.383$_{-0.095}^{+0.10}$ M$_{\odot}$ radius R$_{*}$ 1.863$_{-0.082}^{+0.087}$ R$_{\odot}$, making it hottest to date. obtained radial velocity measurements from CHIRON spectrograph confirming companion's M$_{b}$ 68.0$_{-7.1}^{+7.4}$ M$_{J}$ well star's rotation rate ($vsini_{*} 55.6 \pm 1.8$ km/s). also new comoving group stars, designated MELANGE-6, determine that member. use combination periods isochrone models fit cluster members estimate an age 150 $\pm$ 25 Myr. With measured mass, radius, age, becomes benchmark for substellar evolutionary models.

We report the discovery of a massive (Mp = 9.04±0.50MJup) planet transiting the bright (V = 8.7) F8 star HD 147506, with an orbital period of 5.63341±0.00013 days and an eccentricity of e = 0.520± 0.010. From the transit light curve we determine that the radius of the planet is Rp = 0.982± 0.105RJup. HD 147506b (also coined HAT-P-2b) has a mass about 9 times the average mass of previously-known...

We report the discovery of HAT-P-2b, a massive (Mp = 8.17 ± 0.72 MJup) planet transiting the bright (V = 8.7) F8 star HD 147506, with an orbital period of 5.63 days and an eccentricity of e = 0.5. From the transit light curve we determine that the radius of the planet is Rp = 1.18 ± 0.16 RJup. HAT-P-2b has a mass about 9 times the average mass of previously-known transiting exoplanets, and a de...
متن کاملThe Orbit of the Brown Dwarf Binary Gl 569 B
We present photometric, astrometric and spectroscopic observations of the nearby (9.8 pc) low-mass binary Gl 569Bab (in turn being a companion to the early-M star Gl 569A), made with the Keck adaptive optics facility. Having observed Gl 569Bab since August 1999, we are able to see orbital motion and to determine the orbital parameters of the pair. We find the orbital period to be 892 ± 25 days,...

We report on the discovery of HAT-P-10b, the lowest mass (0.46 ± 0.03MJ) transiting extrasolar planet (TEP) discovered to date by transit searches. HAT-P-10b orbits the moderately bright V=11.89 K dwarf GSC 02340-01714, with a period P = 3.7224690 ± 0.0000067 d, transit epoch Tc = 2454729.90631± 0.00030 (BJD) and duration 0.1100 ± 0.0015d. HAT-P-10b has a radius of 1.05 −0.03RJ yielding a mean ...
متن کاملDiscovery of a brown dwarf companion to the A 3 V star β Circini
We report the discovery of an L dwarf companion to the A3V star βCircini. VVV J151721.49585131.5, or β Cir B, was identified in a proper motion and parallax catalogue of the Vista Variables in the Vı́a Láctea survey as having near infrared luminosity and colour indicative of an early L dwarf, and a proper motion and parallax consistent with that of β Cir. The projected separation of ∼3.6 corresp...
